Alternative
Provision

Our Alternative Provision offers young individuals the opportunity to integrate academic achievement with activity-based learning and mentoring delivered within a community setting. Our primary objective is to provide a part-time educational program where referred young people receive a values-driven, relationship-based provision that fosters an environment conducive to their success. Complementing their education will be an experience rooted in the power of sport and physical activity, enabling them to establish social, physical, and personal connections. Our offer caters to young people at various stages of their educational journey, inspiring both them and the surrounding community to attain remarkable accomplishments.

A Youth Service without Walls - Youth Mentoring

Our mentoring offer provides targeted support for young people in Walsall, primarily those aged 11-18 referred through partners like Walsall Council’s Early Help, Youth Justice Service, and Children in Care teams. We also welcome referrals from anybody who feels that a young person can benefit.

Our core provision centres on weekly one-to-one mentoring sessions delivered in a safe, non-judgemental environment, whether in the home, school, or community. We use sport and activity-based learning as the vehicle to break down barriers and foster positive relationships. This values-driven, relationship-based approach supports young people on a journey of self-reflection and goal-setting, helping them develop pro-social identities and empowering them to become the best versions of themselves.

Participants also have the opportunity to attend supplementary weekly youth club/multi-sports sessions and positive activities outside of term time.
